AT THE POLLS NOVEMBER 5TH

Re-Elect Ellen to Board Seat 4

where she will continue to work to improve the quality of life in the areas of flood protection, land stewardship, and infrastructure development. Keep Ellen Baker on the Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District!

I am running for re-election to the Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District, Seat 4. I’ve been endorsed by NorthPAC II, The Hispanic Vote of PBC, the Palm Beach-Treasure Coast AFL-CIO, the PBC Human Rights Council, the PBC Classroom Teachers Association, Everytown, Senator Lori Berman, Representative Katherine Waldron, Representative Kelly Skidmore, Representative Joe Casello, Tax Collector Anne Gannon, and I’m a Gun Sense Candidate!

I was appointed to the Board of the Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District (NPBCID) for Seat 4 and sworn in on August 26, 2020. I was unopposed in the November 2020 election and was sworn in on November 18, 2020 for my first full four-year term. I am proud to be the only woman and Certified District Official (CDO) on the NPBCID Board. I have attended the Florida Association of Special Districts (FASD) Annual Conference since being elected and was appointed to the FASD Legislative Committee in June. I am a member of the following Northern Committees: Legal Committee, Personnel Committee, Debt Finance Committee, Engineering Review Committee (Chair), Public Relations Committee (Chair), and Appointment Committee (alternate).

I am a Connecticut native who has traveled to three other continents. I like to talk, walk, bike, ski, read, dine out, watch sports, live music, theater, travel, and spend time with my family. I have a BS degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut, Storrs and have taken graduate ESOL courses at Nova Southeastern University. I am a special education teacher in my 24th year in the Palm Beach County School District.

I’m active and hold leadership positions in various local and state, civic, charitable, and political organizations. I am a past vice president and currently serve as the Area 2 Director on the Board of the PBC Classroom Teachers Association (CTA), am a member of the Leadership Palm Beach County Engage Class of 2025, was a Peace Corps volunteer, and a Capitol Hill congressional intern.

A longtime resident of Palm Beach County with more than three decades in Palm Beach Gardens, I am a devoted single mother of three and grandmother of seven, who takes pride in being a part of the NPBCID, serving the community that I call home.

It has been an honor to serve and I hope to earn your vote on November 5th.
